Mapping your character trajectory

Mapping your character trajectory

What will my character be like in 10 years given my current trajectory?

Challenging question to ask for daily reflection.

To respond, we:

  1. Place ourselves in a future-state;
  2. based on an honest and accurate reflective perspective of who we are in the past;
  3. to make change decisions in the present.

“Character” can be replaced with other attributes or aspects of our lives, but character is a good core to start the process with.

The value in the question applied as a daily exercise is that the trajectory is defined by the decisions of each day.  Routine personal reflection has proven value, and this question adds an interesting element of structure.

Is it one you ask already? If not, perhaps it is one to try for two weeks and assess the change.
